The Valley of Flowers is a breathtaking meadow located in the West Himalayas National Park, Uttarakhand, India. It’s known for its vibrant display of endemic alpine flowers during the monsoon season, from July to September.
Day 1: Rishikesh to Joshimath
- Distance: 200 km (drive)

- Altitude: Joshimath – 1,340 m (4,400 ft)

Day 2: Joshimath to Ghangaria
- Travel to Govindghat: Shared taxi – ₹100 (40-minute drive)
- Travel to Pulna: Local transport – ₹50 (15-minute drive)
- Trek to Ghangaria: 9 km (4 hours)
- Stay at Ghangaria: Rs 600- 1000 (for 2 person)

- Pulna – 2,100 m (6,900 ft)
- Ghangaria – 3,000 m (9,800 ft)
Day 3: Explore Valley of Flowers
- Trek distance: 4 km each way (7 hours)
- Altitude: Valley of Flowers – 3,500 m (11,500 ft)
- Notable flowers: Blue Poppy, Snake Foil, White Leaf Hog Foot, Himalayan Rose, Meadow Geranium, and more
Day 4: Visit Hemkund Sahib
- Trek distance: 6 km each way (8-9 hours)
- Altitude: Hemkund Sahib – 4,300 m (14,100 ft)
Day 5: Ghangaria to Joshimath (Optional detour to Badrinath)
- Trek: Ghangaria to Pulna – 9 km (4-5 hours)
- Drive: Pulna to Govindghat – 4 km (15 minutes)
- Drive (optional): Govindghat to Badrinath – 25 km (1 hour)
- Drive: Badrinath to Joshimath – 75 km (3-4 hours)
Note: The road to Badrinath is prone to landslides during monsoon season. If safety is compromised due to weather conditions, the trip will proceed directly to Joshimath, skipping Badrinath.
Day 6: Joshimath to Rishikesh
